Modern day, conventional dental practices can result in some of the most insidious sources of toxicity known to man. Mercury-containing dental amalgams, root canals, cavitations, non-compatible metals and fluoridation are some of the many toxic hazards of conventional dentistry.
The type of bacteria generated by root canals and cavitations are some of the most insidious forms of bacteria known! According to leading biological dentist Hal Huggins, DDS: “The toxicity of the contents of the cavitation appears to be identical to the bacteria of root canals…Some of these toxins show anywhere from 100 to 1000 times the toxicity of botulism toxin on certain enzymes tested! The contents of a cavitation have always tested as highly toxic.”
Root canals and cavitations result in the formation and promulgation of anaerobic (without oxygen) bacteria. These bacteria are little harmful when exposed to an oxygenated environment, but become and produce volatile toxins when forced into an environment without oxygen. In root canals and cavitations, where the periodontal ligament is not removed, the ligament (which attaches the tooth to the bone) rots and basically forms gangrene in the mouth.
In a root canal, the deadened tooth is sealed off in a damp, dark, moist vault forcing aerobic bacteria to thrive in this anaerobic environment. As Dr. Huggins points out, it isn’t the bacteria that are really the biggest problem, it is the toxic chemicals that the bacteria produce. These volatile chemicals such as thioethers and putrescines are capable of shutting down essential enzyme reactions in the body, seeping into the bloodstream, saturating organs and glands and potentially causing a cascade of hormonal, autoimmune and neurological diseases.
Oil Pulling: Ancient Technique for Oral Detoxification
Oil pulling is an ancient Ayurvedic practice. Ayurvedic medicine, one of the oldest medical practices in the world, is known for its highly elaborate approaches for detoxification, including panchakarma treatment, and various other forms of oil detoxification.
Oil pulling is a very easy and effective way to reduce and eliminate much of the bacteria generated by conventional dentistry. It involves the swishing and “pulling” of unrefined, organic oil in the mouth for 10-20 minutes. During this time the oil is chomped, swished, pulled through the teeth. This turns the oil into a thin, white foam which is full of bacteria from inside the oral cavity.Only use unrefined, organic oils. The best oils to use are sesame and sunflower oils. Regular users of oil pulling say it has reduced and eliminated chronic headaches, periodontal disease, Fibromyalgia and other similar conditions.
Directions:
First thing in the morning, before eating or drinking anything, take 1 tablespoon of organic, unrefined sesame or sunflower oil. For 10-20 minutes, swish, chomp and pull the oil until it turns a foamy white color. Concentrate oil on infected teeth and anywhere in the mouth where there is a filling, cavitation, root canal or other dental work.
Spit out oil once completed and thoroughly rinse your mouth with non-chemically treated water. Brush your teeth to remove any remaining bacteria. Repeat every day.
I have no doubt that Ayurvedic oil detoxification works powerfully. I have experienced its effects when applied topically to my own body.
