I am officially declaring June 1st “Alternative Healthcare Practitioner Day”, in honor of all those who strive to improve the health of the world through the use of all modalities that are non-toxic. Alternative Healthcare Practitioners need to be recognized for their work, for their continuous and tireless contribution for the improvement of human health and for the betterment of civilization. Alternative Healthcare is a broad field, so the following list is the most broad for what constitutes Alternative Healthcare.
These include, but is not limited to:
- Non-standardized, Non-Government Endorsed Nutrition
- Chiropractic Care
- Naturopathy
- Truly Holistic Medical Care (not MD’s who claim they offer “alternative care” and really are offering no such alternatives)
- Acupuncture & Chinese Medicine
- Herbology
- Holistic, Biological Dentistry
- Homeopathy
- Corrective Exercise
- Fitness Training
- Life Coaching
- Qi Gong & Associated Martial Disciplines
- Ayurveda
- Yoga & Meditation
- Healers & Spiritual Guides
- Biofeedback & Neurofeedback
- Massage Therapy & Bodywork
- Holistically-Oriented Psychology& Psychiatry
It is important to honor those practitioners who are saving lives, and improving the quality of life all over the planet, through modalities that are safer and more effective than what is being offered by the “standard of care”.
Alternative Healthcare Practitioners know the value of their approach, and so many of these practitioners have amazing success with their patients and clients. Many of these practitioners give tirelessly and are underpaid for their great service to humanity; whose passion is to empower not to invoke fear, to educate not to invoke ignorance, to inspire rather than create subservience.
This day of recognition is to those practitioners who persevered in their work despite public attacks by government and corporate enterprises, who overcame persecutions and blacklisting, who had their licenses revoked for unjust reasons, who persisted in their dedicated work despite the efforts to suppress them.
June 1 is to recognize and honor the vast knowledge passed on through thousands of years of traditions such as in the case of TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) and Ayurveda. June 1 is the day to honor the current and developing unfoldment of human health, and to recognize all of those who inspire and heal.
