In our fast paced, technologically-maximized society, I stand off to the side and ask some serious questions:
• Why is the health of our planet and the human race so compromised?
• Why are chronic diseases now epidemic?
• What are the major causes of chronic disease?
• Why has the western medical system failed to slow the progression of chronic disease?
• Has the western medical system contributed to chronic disease?
• What can be done to address these problems at their roots?
• How have certain cultures seemingly evaded this onslaught of chronic disease?
Did you know…
There are isolated parts of the world that have the highest rates of longevity (commonly known as “the blue zones”), with a very low incidence of chronic disease?
In order to understand what it takes to prevent and reverse chronic disease, it is necessary to study what these isolated cultures are doing, how they live, what they eat, and what their secrets are.
And then…
To look at these factors under the scientific lens.
This process is what the Human Longevity Project documentary series is about.
The Human Longevity Project = Anthropology + Investigative Inquiry + Epigenetics
When I was personally invited by the directors of this series to be interviewed as a part of it, I agreed without hesitation.
I’ve known Jason Prall and Mike Roesslein for many years, as friends and colleagues.
We share similar visions and beliefs about health, alternative medicine and care about the health of people and this planet.
What they have done is truly extraordinary. I do not get excited about many film projects, but this one really has captured something of great significance.
Back in the 1920’s and 30’s Dr. Weston Price documented important findings regarding the incidence of physical degeneration in modernized cultures. Update the timeline to 2018 and we now see a world of global chaos, coupled with “in your face” technological super systems, which are dominated by multi-billion dollar pharmaceutical and monetary machines. Pollution, poison, profit, pharma and war have become realities, and consequently the human race as a whole is teetering on the edge of collective insanity and chronic disease. Humans are being exploited and harvested, while health as a whole in the so called “modern world” has become an uphill battle.
It is past the point where we need to deconstruct our complex modern world. Systems are breaking down, as is the health and sanity of humanity. The incidence of chronic disease is a rising tide.
The Human Longevity Project is an attempt to deconstruct our modern world, to explore health and longevity through the lens of experiential insight, while carefully analyzing the health of isolated centenarian-cultures through the modern scientific lens, in order to envision what life could be like for the rest of us (if we could ever stop our collective insanity). Nothing like this has been done before, and now IS the time to do it.
This 9-part docu-series is putting the ‘best science has to offer’ to work in order to get to the roots of human longevity and what it will take to eradicate chronic disease. You will be fascinated with many of the findings and topics discussed.
Join us in this quest to learn something of great importance. Share it with all of your friends and family, and especially with those that need it the most (you know who I’m talking about: the people that think you’re a “health nut”, while simultaneously are themselves sick, overweight and unhealthy).
All the best,
Michael & The Metabolic Healing Team
