About Jennifer
What is Functional Medicine?
Functional Medicine is a concept that supports balancing the basic needs of the body in order to provide an environment that is conducive to healing. Functional Health Practitioners do not diagnose or treat disease. Instead, we rely on the natural healing ability of the body and help you identify ways to support this healing ability by understanding your history, lab testing results and current lifestyle, thereby eliminating the root cause of your symptoms. In this way, I can work to help you to identify imbalance that may exist and teach you steps to incorporate lifestyle changes that promote health for your specific and unique biochemistry.
Ask yourself this: when did having symptoms of dysfunction become normal? Why is it “normal” to have constant gas and bloating, headaches or muscle and joint pain? Why is it accepted as “normal” to feel tired all the time? Why should women go into menopause and just assume that hot flashes, weight gain and failing libido will follow? When did feeling bad start to become a normal expectation?
How I Work With You
As a practitioner, I work in a manner that identifies the needs of your own body to guide us both to make healthful decisions about support. I center my initial work on gut health, nutrient sufficiency and maximizing the ability of the body to bring balance to your physical and emotional. I support you to be your own health advocate and I teach you to recognize healing opportunities that will help empower you to make appropriate changes to support the natural healing capability of your body.

I would like to share my experience with Metabolic Healing, but most specifically about Jennifer Savage – who over the past four months has changed my life!
Jennifer’s support, guidance and preeminent naturopathic expertise has been key to finding solutions to my ongoing health issues, which no other practitioner has been able to do. Jennifer guided me through each phase, explaining how my body was being affected and with some very simple lifestyle changes, symptoms cleared up, I felt better and my health has improved in so many ways, all through simple and natural means.
This journey has been a game changer for me. With the knowledge Jennifer has shared with me, I now look forward to a healthy future, full of vitality. What a wonderful gift she has given me!

Working with Jennifer has been incredibly reassuring, and she really got me through some difficult health barriers that other practitioners haven’t been able to. My digestion and energy and outlook have never been better thanks to her guidance and expertise. I look forward to continuing work with her! I know it’s just a matter of time before I’m back up to my original self, because she’s so knowledgeable and so available to answer questions…these qualities have been a huge part of my healing!

Since working with you, I have been able to bring in more foods these past two months, than I had been able to in the last two years (thank you, God!). Some really big news is that I was able to get through recent mold exposure (to which I am normally extremely reactive) and a very stressful two months…without any flare ups! I cannot thank you enough, Jennifer, for all of your time, wisdom, guidance, patience, sense of humor and the blessing in getting to know your beautiful soul. I am beyond grateful for you! You are truly Heaven sent.
